SHOWCASE is a PHP/mySQL application that easily and securely manages the overwhelming logistics involved in collecting, organizing and reviewing large amounts of media content. Auditions, music, video, writing, screentests, photos, artwork, etc.
... anything that can be rendered into a digital format, SHOWCASE can handle.

For example, let's consider the situation where a person or team are assigned the task of reviewing submissions for a regional music competition. Traditionally, each participant would submit a CD, tape or other recorded form of their performance. The media is often shipped or otherwise physically delivered to the evaluation team.
The evaluation team (or a costly third party) then has to catalog each one, evaluate each one, and store the review in some form (paper, spreadsheet, word doc, etc.) and then collate/tabulate those reviews into some form of summary. And then find a place to store (or dispose of) all the tapes/CDs they've been sent.
With SHOWCASE, all of the logistical issues are handled by our application. Each participant (or participant team) stores their entry directly into the application through the internet, tagging the entry in the SHOWCASE database. The evaluators are then able to evaluate and comment on the submitted entries at their leisure -- wherever they have an internet connection. The evaluations are stored in the database along with the information about the submission for tabulation and/or constructive feedback. The feedback can be private or shared with the participants at your discretion along with many other configurable features.
All entries are stored securely. While we offer storage on our servers, the application can be set to store directly to an FTP server of your choosing.
